Korean National Ballet will host auditions as it seeks new dancers for 2018. 

Please note the following:

1. Selection

A. Number of dancers sought: OO regular dancers, OO apprentices(contract-based)

B. Eligibility

-  16 years of age or older

- Studying or completed a major in dance at a specialized dance school or corresponding academic background

- Have no reason to be ineligible to work for KNB, go overseas, or engage in any other relevant activities

2. Audition schedule and details

A. Applications

- Application period: Thursday, September 28, 2017 to Thursday, October 12, 2017

To be received until 17:00 (except on statutory holidays)

- Documents to submit: Application, resume, and consent to collection of private information (plus an administration fee of KRW 20,000)

- Where to submit: Practice Center for National Art Companies (N Studio), KNB-affiliated Ballet Academy

B. 1^stround practical audition: Saturday, October 14, 2017

- Class: 11:00~12:30 (Applicants to gather at Studio 2 by 10:00)

Barre work, center work (Candidates who pass the 1st round to be announced after the first audition)

C. 2^ndround practical audition: 11:00~, Sunday, October 15, 2017 (for successful candidates from the first audition)

Variation for males and females (Applicants to gather at Studio 2 by 10:00)

D. Interview: Sunday, October 15, 2017 (after the 2nd practical audition)

E. Audition attire

- Males: White leotard, shoes

- Females: Black leotard, practice tutu, skin-tone stockings, shoes, toe shoes

F. Announcement of final successful candidates

- Date & time: 14:00 on Wednesday, October 18, 2017
