KNB's 170th regular performance, Ballet Gala, will be held at the Opera Theater in the Seoul Arts Center from Saturday, July 17 to Sunday, July 18. It will begin with the glamorous Grand Pas de Deux of Kitri and Basilio from Don Quixote and continue with George Balanchine's neoclassical masterpiece, Serenade; Ogamdo, choreographed by KNB soloist Park Na-ri; Empty House, choreographed by KNB principal dancer Lee Young-cheol; and Troy Game by choreographer Robert North, one of the founding members of the London Contemporary Dance Theater. A Korean premiere, Troy Game was inspired by the Brazilian music form batucada and the Brazilian martial art capoeira as well as the Asian martial arts of aikido and tai chi.
