Art support project 〈Triple Bill〉 

The Korean National Ballet presented 〈Triple Bill〉 in CJ Towel Theater of Seoul Arts Center from 25th(FRI) till 27th(SUN) August. 〈Triple Bill〉 is composed of three pieces with the music of great maestros, Bach, Beethoven, and Chopin; Edward Clug’s Ssss..., William Forsythe’s Artifact Ⅱ, and Uwe Scholz’s The Seventh Symphony. It gives the perfect platform for the dancers to be in harmony with music, dance, and stage setting. We hope this superlative works of art combining music and ballet gave the audience an exciting and wonderful experience. Followed by 〈Triple Bill〉, KNB will perform Ballet with Commentary Le Corsaire on August 30th(WED) through September 3rd(SUN). The KNB-affiliated Ballet Academy 
〈PLIE〉

The KNB-affiliated Ballet Academy’s 30th anniversary performance 〈PLIE〉 took place at Doam Hall of Arts Center Seoul on August 20th(SUN). It started with an opening remarks by Sin Museop, KNB Deputy Artistic Director and the 5th KNB-affiliated Ballet Academy Head Teacher and followed by nine works of students and alumni including Etudes >, the Lilac Fairy variation from Sleeping Beauty, the Lise variation from La Fille mal gardée, and the Peasant variation from Giselle. Also, KNB dancers were invited to celebrate the anniversary. Park Seulki, Lee Jaewoo, and Yang Junyoung performed Pas de Trois from Le Corsaire: Act Ⅱ, and Min Sojung and Huh Wan presented Pas de deux from La Sylphide showing both present and future of Korean Ballet on stage. The students at the academy who have gone through all the hard work to prepare for this performance for a year grown up and matured through the program. They will, as they have been, make progress and move forward everyday with the help of your constant support and interest.
