Korean National Ballet’s 197th Performance 〈La Fille mal gardée〉 was on stage at Opera Theater, Seoul Arts Center on November 8^th(WED)-12^th(SUN). 〈La Fille mal gardée〉 is one of the oldest full-length ballet classics, and Frederick Ashton’s version is set in a countryside and tells the love story between Lise and Colas with the use of various props. The two lovers show their love through a joyful and brilliant ribbon dance. And in a group dance of the farmers, stunning colors of ribbons are also used to enrich the lovely and dynamic narrative. The buoyant and vivid characters charmed the audience and got applause as Park Seulki & Heo Seomyeong, Shim Hyunhee & Ha Jiseok, and Cho Yeonjae & Park Jongsuk performed the leading roles of Lise and Colas, Bae Minsoon and Kim Myungkyu as Simone, and Sun Hohyun, Jeon Hojin and Eum Jinsol as Alain. We are so thankful to every single person who came to our show. We will return to the stage in December with 〈The Nutcracker〉. We look forward to your love and support.
 

  KNB’s 〈The Nutcracker〉 kicked off at Daegu Culture & Art Center on November 23^rd(THU)-24^th(FRI). Internationally appreciated 〈The Nutcracker〉 by Yuri Grigorovich has it all; fantastic fairy tale, magnificent music, and splendid staging. KNB will continue to go on tour during the 2023 holiday season, beginning in Daegu, then followed by performances in Daejeon (Nov. 30(THU)-Dec. 2(SAT)), Gwangju (Dec. 4(MON)-5(TUE)), and Seoul (Dec. 9(SAT)-25(MON)).
