At the 28th Korea Ballet Association Awards on December 2nd (SAT), the Artistic Director Kang Suejin and the soloist Kim Myungkyu won the Grand Prize and Danseur Noble Prize respectively. Since she was appointed to the Artistic Director at Korean National Ballet in 2014, Kang Suejin has put an enormous amount of effort into developing ballet in Korea; creating KNB’s own repertoire, promoting international exchange, and participating in domestic and overseas activities. KNB artist Kim Myungkyu has been highly praised as he displayed superb techniques and cheerful dances throughout the year in 〈Triple Bill〉, and 〈Ballet with Commentary〉. And this time, he pulled off a stunning performance as the Nutcracker Prince. Our warmest congratulations to the Artistic Director Kang Suejin and the soloist Kim Myungkyu.
